Good Book, can be useful for many

The author begins with the premise that "building a DevOps culture requires more than installing a configuration management system, using a source code repository, and telling your teams "Ok, now we are all doing DevOps."
She then goes on to explain what an organized culture means around DevOps. The book then goes on to explain the building of this culture. There are several short chapters that explain this.
Corrections:
*** The book needs to be rechecked as some spelling mistakes remain unspotted such as the mistake in the heading of chapter 1, 3, 4 etc.
*** These apparent spelling mistakes are the result of formatting errors
*** This also means that the layout specialists need to check the entire book on Kindle before it is approve for publishing by Amazon
Observations:
*** A brief book
*** Explains well the culture of DevOps
*** Easy to read and understand

Short but incredibly effective

I recently left a company where I had been effectively growing a grassroots DevOps movement until some executives got scared and strangled it in the crib. I'm taking a much more deliberate approach now, with C-suite support, learning from past success and failure.
This book is short, more like a long magazine article, but I think that's reflected in the price (free, as of the time of this writing). With that said, I found myself taking many notes for practical things I can do this time around to help assure success.
This is definitely an introductory piece, but a very powerful one that should not be ignored or dismissed because of its brevity. Mandi's insights are spot on, and her writing style makes the point effectively. I'd really like to encourage her to take on this subject with a more serious undertaking, something of fuller book-length, to sit next to The Phoenix Project on the short list of credible DevOps books.

A must read before getting into DevOps

Wow, I'm not sure why I'm getting dropdowns to describe the levels of violence and sexual content in a technical book, but ignoring that for the time being, this is a worthwhile read. DevOps really begins and ends with the culture. If everyone isn't working together, all the tools in the world won't help. In a short monograph, the author highlights the key principles necessary to establish the appropriate culture to allow DevOps to take root and flourish.
